I spent 4 hours fighting with a no-name USB Wi-Fi dongle today. Device manager showed Realtek 8832AU , but no drivers worked out of the box on Ubuntu 24.04.

If you are on Windows, do NOT let Windows Update install the driver automatically. It installs a 2019 version that bluescreens. Download the 2023 driver from the "Cudy" website (even if you don't own a Cudy adapter—their drivers are signed and work for any 8832AU). realtek 8832au
