Facial | Abuse Fanatics

Facial abuse fanatics, a subset of enthusiasts who engage in deliberate facial self-mutilation or mutilation of others, have long fascinated and repelled the public. This phenomenon raises important questions about the psychological, social, and cultural factors driving this behavior. Through a critical discourse analysis of online forums, social media, and in-depth interviews with self-identified facial abuse fanatics, this paper explores the complex motivations, desires, and meanings underlying this extreme practice. Our findings suggest that facial abuse fanatics often engage in a form of embodied resistance, challenging traditional norms around beauty, identity, and bodily autonomy. However, this behavior also raises concerns about harm, exploitation, and the blurring of consent. By examining the intersections of psychology, culture, and power, this research aims to contribute to a nuanced understanding of facial abuse fanatics and their place within the broader landscape of body modification and extreme behavior.
