Kahoot Rock - Upd
“Kahoot Rock” refers to the targeted use of Kahoot! quizzes to review rock properties, formation environments, and cycle transitions. This paper investigates whether such gamified assessments improve short-term content mastery and student attitudes toward geology.
“Kahoot Rock” represents a promising gamified strategy for reinforcing geology content. In this study, it led to significantly higher immediate and delayed post-test scores compared to traditional worksheet review, while also improving student attitudes toward learning the rock cycle. However, it should supplement—not replace—hands-on activities like rock identification labs and cycle modeling. Future research should explore longitudinal retention and adaptation for remote learning environments. kahoot rock
