This paper explores Kinji Fukasaku’s controversial 2000 film, Battle Royale , transcending the superficial label of "violent entertainment." It analyzes the film as a sharp allegory for generational conflict, the failure of the modern education system, and the dehumanizing nature of authoritarian politics. By examining the dynamics between the adults (the system) and the adolescents (the students), this study argues that the film serves as a grim warning about the fragility of social contracts and the erosion of trust in contemporary society.
