Every surface—whitewashed brick, reclaimed wood, neon signage—has been curated to evoke the “budget traveler” narrative that we’ve come to love on social media. Yet the building itself is a stage . Its rooms are not calibrated for maximum occupancy, nor are the communal spaces designed for the chaotic, 24‑hour turnover that genuine hostels endure. Instead, they’re engineered for photogenic moments .

Sanders herself occupies the liminal space between proprietor and influencer.
