Mac Change User Folder Name -
In newer macOS versions (Ventura, Sonoma, Sequoia), right-clicking a user and selecting "Rename" usually only changes the (the display name). It does not change the underlying home folder directory. This often leads users to think they changed the name, only to realize their folder is still named the old way.
