When Mukesh Mehra—now a wealthy producer from Hollywood named Mike—returns to India to recreate the film he never finished, memories of the past life begin to resurface. Om realizes who he was and vows to avenge his and Shantipriya’s death. He enlists the help of his friend Pappu and his mother to act out a charade, cast a look-alike actress named Sandy (Deepika Padukone) to pose as the reincarnated Shantipriya, and trap Mukesh into confessing his crime.
