The performer walks and gestures, but the puppet’s movements are larger and slower. Some body puppets have a second operator for the arms.
Rod puppets are controlled by rods, usually attached to the puppet’s head, hands, and sometimes the body. They offer a greater range of movement than simple hand puppets but require more skill to operate.
