What Months Is Fall Repack
Includes the months of March, April, and May. Cultural and Ecological Markers
Leo scribbled on his worksheet. “So September, October, November?” what months is fall
That was the question little Leo asked his mother one crisp October morning. He was six years old, with leaves stuck in his hair from a morning romp in the backyard, and he held up a crumpled worksheet from school. Includes the months of March, April, and May
Meteorologists and climatologists use a different system to track seasons. To make record-keeping easier and to align better with actual temperature cycles, they divide the year into four three-month groups. September, October, and November. Start Date: September 1. End Date: November 30. He was six years old, with leaves stuck
"Technically, meteorological fall is September 1st to November 30th. But astronomically, it starts with the autumn equinox (late Sept) and ends with the winter solstice (late Dec). So generally, just think Sept-Nov!"
Just then, Leo’s grandfather walked in from the garden, dusting dirt off his overalls. “Don’t listen to them,” he said with a wink. “Fall starts when the first apple drops and ends when the first snow sticks. Some years that’s mid-October to late November. Last year, it was two weeks in October and that was it.”
