The episode picks up immediately where we left off: Woodstone Mansion is in disarray. Without spoiling too much, the episode deftly handles the "Is Flower gone?" plotline. The writers do an excellent job of subverting expectations; just when you think the episode will be a downer, it pivots into a wild B-story involving Sam and a local Cincinnati legend that provides some of the biggest laughs of the series.

The best running gag of involves a "system update" analogy. Jay, trying to fix the B&B’s smart home system, accidentally resets the Wi-Fi. The ghosts, of course, think this is a spell to banish them to the shadow realm. Pete tries to run through the router. It doesn't work. But it’s the visual of Pete’s face stretching against the 4:3 aspect ratio of the old TV that makes the H264 encode worth the download size.
