The workprint leaked in early 2023 via a private Discord server. Warner Bros. DMCA’d it within hours, but not before fans noticed something strange: the temp score in the workprint—an unused, haunting piano piece by composer Dan Romer—was later found to be titled “Lois’s Last Word.” The actor who played Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) reportedly asked the studio to destroy all copies, saying in a now-deleted tweet: “That cut nearly broke me. It’s not Superman. It’s grief wearing his cape.”
