She immigrated to the United States in 1968 for university, eventually earning an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley in 1975. Although she initially worked as a marketing analyst, she pivoted to her culinary career in 1985 to share the traditional techniques she learned from her mother and grandmother.
Kasma Loha-unchit is a pioneering Thai cooking instructor, award-winning author, and cultural guide who spent over 35 years introducing authentic Thai culinary traditions to Western audiences.
