Frequency Modulation (FM) synthesis remains a cornerstone of digital audio generation and radio transmission. However, legacy implementations suffer from phase distortion artifacts, limited dynamic operator routing, and static bandwidth allocation. This paper introduces , a novel software-defined architecture that integrates real-time adaptive FM synthesis with predictive bandwidth control. By employing a multi-agent operator network and a non-linear pre-distortion compensator, FmodPro achieves a 40% reduction in total harmonic distortion (THD) compared to standard DX-style algorithms while simultaneously improving spectral efficiency in transmission modes. We detail the system architecture, present comparative benchmarks, and discuss applications in immersive audio and cognitive radio.

Since John Chowning’s pioneering work at Stanford in the 1970s, FM synthesis has been prized for its computational efficiency and ability to generate complex timbres. However, traditional FM faces three persistent challenges: fmodpro
