Dragon Ball Z Kai is a re-edited version of the original Dragon Ball Z series, featuring re-mastered video and audio. The series consists of 167 episodes and premiered in Japan on April 5, 2009. This version was created to coincide with the release of the Dragon Ball Z film, "Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods."
