As the episode begins, we see our favorite ghostly characters going about their daily routines. Mike (the lovable but mischievous ghost) is still playing pranks on the other ghosts, while Ghastly (the charming but slightly snobbish ghost) is busy polishing his extensive collection of top hats.

After the cliffhanger ending of Season 2—which saw Sam and Jay finally (sort of) getting their wish for living guests—the Season 3 premiere had big shoes to fill. The show has masterfully balanced sitcom tropes with genuine character growth, and "The Perfect Assistant" continues that tradition. ghosts s03e01 msv
