There is a sequence involving a nuclear plant. In standard definition, it looks like flashing lights. In 1080p Web-DL , you see the individual shards of debris, the heat vision distortion, and the practical effects work. The CGI isn't movie-level, but the Web-DL gives the VFX team the respect they deserve.

Without giving away who lives or dies, Episode 3 features a "kitchen table" conversation between Clark and Jonathan that rivals anything from Friday Night Lights for emotional weight.
