If your laptop lacks a 2.5-inch bay, check the motherboard for an M.2 slot. These are small, horizontal slots originally designed for Wi-Fi cards but now commonly used for storage. Even if your laptop doesn't have an extra bay, it might have a vacant M.2 slot where you can install a high-speed NVMe SSD.
If the drive doesn't appear in File Explorer: add hard drive to laptop
