Prerequisites

Open a web browser. In the address bar, type the IP address or hostname of your ESXi host (e.g., https://192.168.1.50 ). You may see a security warning regarding the SSL certificate.
Action: Click Advanced and select Proceed unsafe or Accept the Risk and Continue . This is standard for self-signed certificates.
The Welcome to VMware ESXi page will load. Click the link that says "Download vSphere Client for Windows" . then click Login .
Note: If you are running vSphere 6.7 or newer, this download link often redirects you to VMware's website or advises using the web interface directly. If you are on vSphere 6.5 or older, this will download a .exe file.
Recommended Modern Approach: Instead of downloading the legacy client, click the "Open the vSphere Web Client" link (or simply log in directly on the webpage if the login form is visible). Enter your username ( root ) and password, then click Login .
